- Hong Kong still belonged to the United Kingdom in 1996, it was returned to China in 1997[1], so the band played this show in the United Kingdom and not in China.
- On 20 November 1996, the building where the event took place suffered severe damage from a fire, 41 people died and 81 were injured. This fire is considered the worst building fire in Hong Kong during peacetime.[2]
